And this is MY Story of how I started my own online business at my age of 20!
Well, actually I was 18 when I started looking for online jobs. I happened to come across an ad saying 'Make $500 A Day Online!' Yeah, I know. BIG Scam. But then, I was unaware that there even WERE Online Scams. How Immature, I know! So I gave them my $50 and went through the tutorials and all I ended up learning was how to put affiliate links into a Google Adwords ad. They didn't even give me advice on how to successfully do this, just set up an ad and hope the money would roll in.
Not a dollar.
Not a dime.
Until one day when I ran across an ad in my local classifieds for "Work at Home Job"
I looked it up. Yeah, it was legitimate. It was working for a call center. But, I didn't have my own phone line, did not know SQUAT about Customer Service, and pretty much did not have to money for the background check.
So I kept looking. I researched AND researched online jobs until I got a few legitimate jobs. But for the same criteria
-Own phone line
-Fee
-Previous skills/experience required
Until one day that I remembered that scam, and wanted to see if I could get more information, FREE information about it.
I found out it was called "Affiliate Marketing". So I reseatrched and surfed some more on the topic.
Blah, Blah, Blah. Same ol' information "...affiliate marketing is simply promoting other people's products for a commission."
"Okay, So how do I do that?" I asked myself.
I searched on "how-to's" and eventually, came up on some Affiliate Marketing Training Sites. One claimed to have had TOO Much information to be handled by a newbie, one was too confusing, one was promoting their own crappy products that no one wanted, and one, well, didn't even respond. Until FINALLY one day I came across a small website called "Profit Mentoring". Mentoring, yeah, "That's what I need". I needed something simple, short, and TO-THE-POINT. And I clicked on the link.
My life thus far has been changed. I never had money for college, but now I do. I am studying Internet Marketing to become the next big Female Internet Entrepreneur/Tycoon. That is my Goal...plus help take care of my family, friends, and future finances.
Now, I must ask, What is Yours?

Hi Eva, saw you on the forum. I am a five month Newbie and yes affiliate marketing is great. I am into a very different niche than you, but same concept. I help single ladies date smart and make money doing it. Love love love it.

ReplyDeleteSo why only one post? Didn't work out huh? So if I put the words "mentor" and its variations on a book that's all it takes to get people to buy it? lol. I love how all these make money online schemes never really tell you what exactly the product is that you will be selling. Basically they tell you to get a website and get high rankings in the search engines selling a book on how to get a website and get high rankings in the search engines so you can sell a book on how to get a website etc. You get the idea. If you get in early enough you can make a killing before the pyramid collapses and the system is flooded with n00bs trying to make a buck.
